being back

The relation to our past, to our native place that we have deserted by choice, by runaway for reasons that are only cleared up today. These pleasures which we have missed and which we appreciate anew, these windows on a past that we try to forget, understand or to modulate with our present self. The desire to refind these places, rediscover them, cradled with a mix of melancholy, fears and love.

I followed my Friend on his return back at home, observing and understanding the complex relationship he has with his native Sweden. To face his past by living the present time, and trying to look at tomorrow.
